Working in a variety of media, TV Moore outsets multiple perspectives on a world many of us have come to ignore. Depicting magicians and explorers, vagrants and bohemians; Satanists and Prime Ministers; forgotten monuments and forgotten people, the art of TV Moore lies in the conversation between things. He explores the fantastic; those things which escape the edges of what the world is taken them to be. Each work has its roots in history, in a story. However the familiar figures and narratives from which they draw are reanimated and reformed. They become stand-ins, transgressions, forming a sort of cultural geography, unbound by time yet grounded by imagination.
Moore has an MFA from the Californian Institute for the Arts and has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions at The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, The Govett-Brewster Art Gallery, New Plymouth New Zealand, CAC Lithuania, Iaspis Stockholm Sweden, Contemporary Art Space Osaka, Japan and the first Torino Triennale at the Castello di Rivoli, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea, Italy. TV Moore was commissioned to make a major new work for the 2008 Biennale of Sydney and was included in the 2008 Busan Biennale.
