Wall II (The Space Between Us) is a sound installation that explores our perception of space though architecture. The audio was recorded from the HVAC system in the Thomas Welton Stanford Art Gallery with 6 contact microphones, fed though filters and volume modulation to be played though 12 tactile transducers that were mounted to the sculpture. I am interested in how our body habituates to the noises that surround us everyday, and how those sounds might repel or attract us, physically and emotionally to an architectural form.
